Minister Search Committee News/Updates

For in-depth info on the minister search visit the Minister Search Info page.

Phase 2 Identification – The committee expects to begin their outreach with our “recommenders” in the coming days. This is an exciting step and we plan to be talking to highly qualified candidates in early November!

Prayer – Four Reminders about PRAYER!
  • Please pray for our “recommenders” – those who will be recommending names of potential candidates for us to contact.
  • Remember to pray during our “10-2-4” daily prayer schedule.
  • Remember our Prayer Room and please participate in writing your prayer thoughts in the Prayer Journal. The journal will be given to our new preacher upon arrival so he can see what we’ve been praying about before his arrival!
  • Please remember to pray for our preacher selection committee. We covet your prayers as we move into this next phase of the process.

Congregational Update

Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ, Based upon declining covid-19 trends, we will make masks optional, but if you are at risk you may still want to wear one for our assemblies. Disposable face masks and hand sanitizer is available in the foyer, individual communion portions will still be used at this time.

Romans 12:10 Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Ephesians 4:32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you. Galatians 5:13 For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another. 2 Timothy 1:7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Let’s rejoice together in this opportunity to make a step toward more normal times and please express patience to those who still need to practice caution in this matter. Thank you for your kind spirits,

The Mesa Elders
