Re-Opening

Things are moving in the direction of re-opening our building for services!  The elders have set a tentative date of June 7th as our first meeting together in both the Spanish and English auditoriums.  For info on what to expect and the procedures for your safety, please check out the video we put together. You can view it here.  If you are planning on returning to the building to worship, we are asking that you register your family in our registration form.

Praise God this weekend with us on-line–Ashby’s Bible class will broadcast at 9:30 a.m. followed by our worship at 10:30 a.m. This is a change from the past few months. There will be a 15 minute break between Ashby’s class and the worship. This is just like our past worship schedule as we prepare to open.

This week we remain closed. We will be streaming from our auditorium but only the people involved in the service will be in the building to participate.

Currently there are no Wednesday night classes for any age. We will not meet at the building for classes. We will post some video content and/or useful materials for people to use at home. Please follow this link.

We stress cultural relevancy and utilize all medias and means to communicate the the church message. It’s very important to believe. We all come to faith on an individual basis rather than group consensus. It does help to be around other people who know what they believe and draw strength from them.

Feel free to ask any question you desire about church activities to get essential information.

You can call us by phone or send emails to get more information and also we’ll be glad to see you in one of our weekend services. It’s a friendly place for new members.

About Us

Jesus

Jesus builds his church. The church at the beginning of the twenty-first century can only make progress by returning to the first century. Our reason for existence is to become the church one can read about in the Bible. Our plea is to be just Christians.
This does not arise out of an arrogant self-righteousness on our part, but an earnest desire for religious unity based completely on the Bible. We do not ask for man’s allegiance to a human organization or system, only to Jesus Christ. Our task is to call men and women everywhere back to God’s eternal Word. It is our only guide.

People

The focus of our faith is upon the person of Jesus Christ. He is our Savior and our Lord. Only through His sacrificial death on the cross are we able to live in relationship with our Holy God. And that, incidentally, is why we wear His name. The “Church of Christ” is not a title used in a sectarian sense, but is intended to communicate our desire to belong fully to Christ.

We strive to be very aware of needs and opportunities for service in the area as first century Christianity to the modern world.

Spirit

Spiritual growth and development are difficult in a world that has too many answers to the same question. It would help to understand the question rather than just be told the answer. We have in-depth discussions of Scripture and life and how the two fit together. To be effective, the Bible must be practical and to be meaningful, life must have a spiritual element. We are not afraid to ask tough questions and find real answers.

Bringing God’s Word to the Corners of the World

MINISTRIES

Where can God use your talents?

Worship

We come into the presence of God knowing we are not worthy of Him except by his love and grace he has offered us. He has offered and we have come together to experience and accept the love of God and share that love with each other in song, prayer, and through scripture. We follow the pattern we see in the New Testament in our worship. They were acceptable to God and he was powerful in their lives. We believe the same things is possible today. We give honor, glory and praise to God as we join together in worship to Him.

Teens

The Mesa Youth Group’s goal is to create an environment where students can learn how to make wise choices, have the support from peers, and be apart of ministry through service. We don’t just want to create the leaders of tomorrows church but be active in it today.
We try to create opportunity for parents and teens to engage in the spiritual journey of life together.

Children

Jesus took a child and said he wanted us to be like the child. Jesus blessed children and they are very important to him. We see in children the humble honesty that allows us to see Jesus. They are looking for Jesus as a person who loves them and will take care of them. They felt safe with Jesus.
To help children we built Village del Soul as a way of discovery learning. Children come to different places to learn about Jesus and discover how His story applies to their life. They get a chance to learn what God has done in the Bible by learning the Bible stories as well as practical application for their life.

MEDIA/TECH

The Media Ministry’s goal is to support the worship service experience. Through technology we help provide multimedia resources help make worship service and bible classes run smooth. Such media includes the presentation of slides for both songs and sermon, audio amplification, video streaming and recording, and the church website.

FAMILY

Family Ministry’s goal is to give parents and caregivers a deep conviction in knowing that they are primarily responsible for disciplining their children. Furthermore, the goal is to equip and encourage families to be so Christ-centered that their faith is not only passed from one generation to the next, but each family is a living sermon that preaches Christ to the world.

Education

We are a resource for you to discover what they Bible says and what God wants. Sometimes it can be confusing to read the Bible for yourself. We encourage you to read and understand what God has said. We give explanations in a simple way that can help us know exactly how to please God. Our classes range from practical Christianity to scholarly book studies. Each person decides what they believe but sometimes it help to talk with others about exactly what is said. God does reveal himself and wants us to know him.
