Education at Mesa

The apostle Paul reminds the Christians in Ephesus that God has raised up leaders in the church “to equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Eph. 4:12). This is what our Education Department is all about. The following are the areas of Christian education available here at Mesa.

Children’s Education (Village Del Soul)

We use the Journeyland curriculum and developed “Village del Soul”, an immersive environment with uniquely decorated themed rooms dedicated to Bible stories, plays, and activities for our K-6th graders.

Bible Classes

Sundays – 9:30am

Auditorium -The Book of Revelation w/ Ashby Camp
Revelation is a powerful visionary portrayal of God’s ultimate victory in Christ given to encourage those who are under pressure to compromise their faith. In our darkening spiritual environment, its message is especially timely. I do my best to deliver that message faithfully.

Room 104 – “Lesson Learned” taught by Bob Farr

Life is a good teacher. Sometimes we have to look at our past to understand the future. In this class we will examine Bibli- cal examples for us to follow as we walk daily with the Lord. Along this path we may discover how we’ve benefitted from our own lessons learned…..

Room 105 – “Exploring Grace” taught by Brad Kerley
Did you know that God’s grace can train us to live self-controlled and godly lives? Grace is one of the most important things Christians should know and understand and once we do, it has the power to be the change agent we need as His children. Paul is a great example of this and you can see by his life that he was impacted by the grace of God. Let’s get together and explore God’s word and the magnitude of His amazing grace!
Wednesdays – 7:00pm

Auditorium – Short 10-15 minute Devo
Devotional will starts at 7pm then afterward we will split to separate classes.

Room 104 -“Jesus, The One and Only” Ladies Class taught by Pam Osback & Honor Glenn
We will continue to study Beth Moore’s Jesus the One and Only, focusing on “The Son of God.” The class has a study book as well as instructor-created handouts and interaction.

Room 105 -“What Do You Think?” taught by Dallas Kingsbury & Jeff Hubbard
Bank failures, rumors of war, inflation, recession, bad news is followed by more bad news. Closer to home we may have conflicts with coworkers, broken relationships, even rush-hour traffic. There is much in the world today over which we have little to no control. What is a Christian to do? Join us Wednesday nights to discuss our response.
